Raub, 21 April 2026 – SMK Dong became the latest venue for the Pahang Biodiversity Adventure 2026, bringing together students, teachers, and library staff for a day of biodiversity exploration and citizen science activities.

The programme attracted 30 participants, who explored the school surroundings to observe and document the diverse plant and animal species found within the area. By focusing on a familiar environment, participants discovered that valuable biodiversity can be found even within everyday spaces.

To support the field activities, participants were introduced to the iNaturalist platform through a practical demonstration on recording and uploading biodiversity observations. The session equipped them with the knowledge and skills needed to contribute meaningful biodiversity data while deepening their appreciation of the natural environment.

The enthusiastic response from participants reflected a growing interest in biodiversity conservation and the role of citizen science in environmental monitoring. As the district series continues, the Pahang Biodiversity Adventure 2026 will next head to Cameron Highlands, further expanding public engagement in biodiversity documentation and conservation across the state.

Maran, 18 April 2026 – The Pahang Biodiversity Adventure 2026 continued its district series in Maran with biodiversity observation activities held at Che Minah Sayang and Perpustakaan Awam Daerah Maran.

The programme involved 44 participants comprising members of the Organization of Biodiversity Club (ORBID), Organization of Biology Progeny (OBEY), and library staff.

The field activities began at Che Minah Sayang, where participants explored the surrounding natural environment and conducted biodiversity observations. The peaceful setting provided an ideal opportunity for participants to identify and document a variety of local flora and fauna.

The programme then continued at Perpustakaan Awam Daerah Maran with a demonstration and sharing session on the proper methods of recording and uploading biodiversity observations using the iNaturalist platform. The combination of fieldwork and practical guidance enhanced participants' understanding of biodiversity documentation and citizen science practices.

Participants demonstrated strong enthusiasm and commitment throughout the programme, successfully recording 1,500 biodiversity observations during the day's activities. The achievement reflected the active participation and dedication of everyone involved in contributing valuable biodiversity data.

Overall, the programme was successfully carried out through the cooperation of all participants and organisers. Kuala Lipis, 17 April 2026 – The Pahang Biodiversity Adventure 2026 continued its journey to Kuala Lipis District with a biodiversity exploration programme held amidst the natural surroundings of Taman Negara Sungai Relau.

The programme involved 36 participants comprising students from Kolej Tingkatan Enam Seri Lipis, teachers, and staff from the library. The event was further enhanced by the presence of Dr. Riwan Ramli, Interim Head of the Secretariat of Majlis Biodiversiti Pahang, who joined and engaged with participants throughout the programme.

Set against the backdrop of a natural rainforest, participants had the opportunity to conduct biodiversity observation activities while learning about the importance of documenting local flora and fauna. A briefing and demonstration session was also conducted to guide participants on the proper methods of recording and uploading biodiversity observations using the iNaturalist platform.

Participants demonstrated great enthusiasm throughout the field activities by exploring and documenting various species found within the area. The programme provided a unique hands-on learning experience while promoting greater awareness of biodiversity conservation and environmental sustainability.

Jengka, 17 April 2026 – Seven inbound students from STKIP Taman Siswa Bima, Indonesia, participated in a guided visit to Al-Bukhari Library, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Cawangan Pahang Kampus Jengka.

The visit aimed to introduce participants to the library's services, facilities, and learning resources. The guided session was conducted by Mohd Fadhli Samsudin, Senior Librarian, who provided an overview of the library's role in supporting teaching, learning, and research activities.

Throughout the visit, the students explored the library's facilities and gained a better understanding of its services and resources. The programme also offered valuable insights into the role of academic libraries in enhancing students' learning experiences and supporting scholarly activities.
