SHAH ALAM, 26 May 2026 — Tun Abdul Razak Library (PTAR) UiTM Shah Alam successfully organised the Creative and Digital Communication Coaching Programme for Librarians and Organisational Staff at Computer Lab 1, PTAR UiTM Shah Alam.
SHAH ALAM, 22 May 2026 — The Faculty of Sports Science and Recreation (FSR) organised a Collaborative Teaching session titled “Enhancing Research Skills Through Effective Database Searching” at Lecture Hall 1, FSR, aimed at strengthening students’ research and information literacy skills.
Tun Abdul Razak Medical Library (PPTAR), in collaboration with various departments of Hospital Al-Sultan Abdullah (HASA) and with the support of the KPT Prihatin Komuniti Sejahtera (KRIS) Programme, successfully organised the Knowledge Culture, Community Engagement and Health Literacy Programme on 21 May 2026, from 7.30 a.m. to 2.00 p.m. at SMK Puncak Alam, with the participation of 337 participants.
The programme was implemented as an initiative to strengthen community engagement through knowledge sharing and to enhance health awareness among the school community.
PPTAR, led by Puan Noor Azlin Abdullah, delivered a talk entitled “Jom Celik Maklumat” aimed at increasing awareness on information literacy and the effective use of information.
A talk session was also conducted by Puan Nur Nadiah Mohamad Rosdi, Psychologist Officer from the Counselling Unit, titled “Understanding Yourself: Healthy Relationships, Boundaries & Sexuality”, focusing on self-development and psychosocial well-being.
The programme was further strengthened through Health Booth activities conducted by the Department of Dietetics and Food Services and the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine, as well as Health Screening sessions organised by the Department of Community and Ambulatory Services, Nursing Department, Assistant Medical Officer Unit, and Primary Care Department. The screenings included blood pressure checks, body mass index (BMI), blood sugar tests, uric acid tests, cholesterol tests, and health consultations.
PPTAR would like to express its appreciation to all parties involved in ensuring the success of this programme and hopes that initiatives such as this will continue to strengthen the relationship between the university and the community through the promotion of knowledge culture and community well-being.
Tun Abdul Razak Medical Library (PPTAR), in collaboration with Hospital Al-Sultan Abdullah (HASA), UiTM Puncak Alam, successfully organised the Career Pathway Exploration Programme with schools around Bandar Puncak Alam on 19 May 2026. The programme involved the participation of 75 students and accompanying teachers from Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Puncak Alam (SMKPA) and Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Bukit Kapar (SMK BK).
The programme was an educational and community engagement initiative aimed at providing early exposure to students on various career pathways in the healthcare and professional service sectors through knowledge sharing, expert insights, and hands-on learning experiences.
The programme was further highlighted by a keynote address delivered by the Deputy Director of Professional & Operations, Hospital Al-Sultan Abdullah (HASA), Dato’ Dr. Khalid Ibrahim, who emphasised the importance of career exploration and nurturing the aspirations of young generations through meaningful learning experiences.
Participants also attended a series of Pocket Talks conducted by officers and professionals from various disciplines including Dietetics and Nutrition, Medicine, Pharmacy, Forensic Pathology, Social Work, Spirituality, and Library Services. A career-sharing session titled “Who Am I” was also presented by the Chief Librarian of Tun Abdul Razak Medical Library (PPTAR), Puan Noor Azlin Abdullah, who shared insights on self-discovery, career identity development, and opportunities for growth in the field of librarianship.
In addition to the sharing sessions, participants joined educational visits to several key hospital and library facilities, including the Department of Forensic Pathology, Department of Rehabilitation Medicine, HASA Medical Gallery, Clinical Simulation Center (CSC), and Tun Abdul Razak Medical Library (PPTAR).
These visits provided participants with the opportunity to gain a closer understanding of the functions and roles of each unit, while broadening their perspectives on educational and career opportunities within the healthcare sector and professional support services.
PPTAR would like to express its highest appreciation to the school management, accompanying teachers, speakers, facilitators, and all staff of Hospital Al-Sultan Abdullah (HASA) and PPTAR for their commitment and cooperation in ensuring the success of this programme.
It is hoped that programmes such as this will continue to strengthen strategic relationships between educational institutions and the community, while serving as an inspiring platform for young generations in planning their future educational and career pathways.

KOTA BHARU, May 7 – Perpustakaan Tengku Anis successfully organised the Knowledge Exploration Program in conjunction with the Student Organisation Day Programme (HOMSIS) with active participation from UiTM students and staff.
