UiTM JENGKA, 8 May 2026 – The Pahang Biodiversity Tour 2026 continued its outreach efforts through a collaborative session with strategic partners, involving the Faculty of Plantation and Agrotechnology, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Cawangan Pahang, Kampus Jengka. The programme brought together 40 participants to promote biodiversity awareness and citizen science through field-based learning.

Participants took part in a biodiversity exploration activity at the UiTM Cawangan Pahang plantation area, where they conducted field observations and documented various plant and animal species found within the surrounding environment. The activity provided valuable hands-on experience in biodiversity monitoring while encouraging participants to appreciate the richness of local ecosystems.

Throughout the programme, participants demonstrated strong teamwork, enthusiasm, and a keen interest in identifying and recording biodiversity. The session also highlighted the importance of community participation in environmental conservation through scientific observation and data collection.

Participants were encouraged to continue exploring biodiversity within their respective communities and contribute their findings through the iNaturalist platform. Every observation uploaded contributes to a growing biodiversity database that supports research, conservation, and environmental management initiatives.

The programme reflects UiTM Cawangan Pahang's commitment to promoting environmental sustainability, scientific literacy, and community engagement through strategic partnerships. It also supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education, SDG 15: Life on Land, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, by fostering environmental education, biodiversity conservation, and collaborative initiatives.

 

JENGKA, 7 May 2026 – The Strategic Planning Workshop 2026 continued with its second day, focusing on refining the Annual Work Targets (SKT) and Library Performance Targets (SP) 2026 that were proposed during the previous day's discussions. The workshop aimed to ensure that each strategic target was realistic, measurable, and aligned with the library's organisational priorities.

Participants engaged in detailed discussions to review and enhance the proposed targets, ensuring that every initiative would deliver meaningful impact while addressing current operational needs. The collaborative sessions also emphasised the importance of setting achievable objectives supported by clear implementation strategies and measurable performance indicators.

Each unit further refined its proposed work plans, key performance indicators (KPIs), and implementation approaches to improve clarity, consistency, and accountability. This systematic review process strengthened the alignment of departmental goals with the library's overall strategic direction.

The workshop also featured presentation and idea-sharing sessions, allowing participants to exchange constructive feedback and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. These collaborative discussions encouraged innovation and strengthened cross-unit cooperation in achieving common organisational goals.

The second day of the workshop reaffirmed the library's commitment to effective strategic planning, continuous improvement, and service excellence. The refined plans are expected to provide a strong framework for achieving the library's objectives and organisational excellence throughout 2026.
