A Scholarly Or Legitimate Journal

Publishing in scholarly or legitimate journals is crucial for UiTM researchers as it ensures the quality, originality, and transparency of their research, while strengthening academic reputation and enhancing UiTM’s contribution to global knowledge.

Scholarly or legitimate journals are reputable academic publications that maintain high standards of research integrity, quality, and transparency. Articles published in these journals undergo a rigorous peer-review process, where experts in the relevant field evaluate the research for accuracy, originality, and contribution to knowledge. These journals also provide clear editorial policies and are often indexed in recognised databases such as Scopus or the Web of Science.

In addition, legitimate journals are managed by qualified editorial boards and maintain transparency regarding publication processes and fees. They serve as credible platforms for sharing authentic research findings and advancing academic discourse. This distinguishes them from predatory journals, which lack proper review standards and exploit researchers for profit without ensuring research quality.
