Digital Echoes & PSS Empowerment: PTDI Knowledge Exploration Program with the Community
MUAR, October 7, 2026 – Perpustakaan Tun Dr. Ismail (PTDI) successfully organized the high-impact "Knowledge Exploration Program with the Community" today at Dewan Seri Permata, SMK Bukit Pasir, running from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Attended by 218 participants—comprising 191 students and 27 teachers—the event served as a vital platform for PTDI to share information management expertise and pass on valuable knowledge directly to the school community.
The knowledge-sharing sessions began with a dedicated career guidance slot titled "From School Resource Center Prefect to Information Professional," delivered by Puan Mawar Noor binti Abdullah, Head of Branch Library. The session inspired students by outlining career progression pathways within information management and library science. Following this, PTDI speakers led interactive, practical sessions on Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications, teaching participants how to generate digital presentation slides, create images using Gemini, and produce videos through Flow AI.
To ensure an effective hands-on learning experience, the workshop was supported by three dedicated facilitators: Puan Siti Rozana binti Mat Sanat (Deputy Chief Librarian KUP), Puan Noredayu binti Rosli (Senior Librarian), and Nur Balqis binti Samsuri (Library Assistant). Under their guidance, students and teachers actively engaged in exploring digital skills and modern information management techniques.
Throughout the day, participants demonstrated remarkable enthusiasm and commitment. This interactive exposure not only broadened their understanding of modern technologies but also unlocked creative approaches to promote their respective School Resource Centers (PSS). PTDI hopes the practical skills gained will be fully utilized to drive excellence across school libraries and foster a enduring culture of reading throughout the school community.
