Young Leaders Programme Develops Leadership Skills at UiTM Pahang Library

JENGKA, 9 April 2026 – Perpustakaan Al-Bukhari, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Cawangan Pahang successfully hosted the Young Leaders Programme for School Prefects and Library Prefects from SK Sekara, welcoming 36 students accompanied by six teachers. The programme was further supported by 13 facilitators who guided participants throughout the day's activities.

Designed to develop leadership potential among primary school students, the programme featured a series of interactive and experiential learning activities focusing on leadership, communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. Participants worked collaboratively through structured tasks that encouraged discussion, role distribution, and creative thinking in a supportive learning environment.

The activities provided students with valuable opportunities to strengthen their self-confidence, enhance critical thinking, and develop essential leadership qualities required of school prefects and library prefects. Throughout the programme, participants demonstrated enthusiasm, responsibility, and positive teamwork while actively engaging with facilitators and teachers.

The collaborative learning environment fostered meaningful interactions among students, teachers, and facilitators, enabling participants to build interpersonal skills and gain practical leadership experience. The programme also served as a platform to nurture future young leaders who are confident, disciplined, and committed to serving their school communities.

Perpustakaan Al-Bukhari, UiTM Cawangan Pahang extends its sincere appreciation to SK Sekara, the accompanying teachers, and all facilitators for their invaluable support and commitment in ensuring the programme's success. The initiative supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, by promoting quality learning experiences and strengthening collaboration between educational institutions.
