World #QuranHour at PTAR Revitalises the Spirit of Ramadan Through Tadabbur of Surah Al-Muzzammil

SHAH ALAM, 11 March 2026 – Perpustakaan Tun Abdul Razak (PTAR) organised the World #QuranHour programme today at the Ruang Telaah, PTAR UiTM Shah Alam, bringing together PTAR staff and members of the university community in a spiritually enriching Ramadan gathering.

Held on 21 Ramadan 1447H, the programme was part of the global World #QuranHour initiative, which carries the theme “Compassionate and Virtuous World” this year. The session focused on the reflection and understanding (tadabbur) of Surah Al‑Muzzammil, highlighting its message of spiritual resilience and devotion.

The recitation and tadabbur session was delivered by Dr. Muhammad Syafee Salihin Hasan, Senior Lecturer from the Academy of Contemporary Islamic Studies (ACIS), UiTM Shah Alam. In his presentation, he emphasised the profound lessons contained in Surah Al-Muzzammil, including the importance of strengthening one’s spiritual foundation, practising patience in life’s struggles, and nurturing a closer relationship with the Quran.

The one-hour programme brought together members of the PTAR community to collectively read, reflect upon, and understand the verses of the Holy Quran, further fostering a culture of knowledge appreciation and spiritual reflection within the university environment.

The organisation of this programme also reflects PTAR’s role as more than just a centre for academic resources. It serves as a dynamic intellectual space that supports holistic development by nurturing both scholarly pursuits and the spiritual well-being of the university community, in line with its aspiration to be a #VibrantCentreOfLearning.

The initiative reinforces the enduring message of the programme: one hour with the Quran can inspire the building of stronger individuals, communities, and civilisation.
