SHAH ALAM, October 16, 2026 – The Faculty of Music at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Shah Alam, in strategic collaboration with the Library Department, successfully organized a virtual workshop titled "University Institutional Repository (UiTM IR) Entry and Research Impact Enhancement via the PRIMe System and H-Index."
The insightful session was held via Google Meet from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM.

- Library experts guided faculty members on using the PERMATA ecosystem, the PRIMe system, and tracking h-indexes.

Engaging academic staff from the Faculty of Music, the workshop was skillfully moderated by Senior Lecturer Dr. Nur Izzati Jamaludin. It also saw the active participation of Associate Professor Dr. Sharifah Faizah binti Syed Mohammed, the Deputy Dean of Research and Industry Network (ICAN).
The briefing featured comprehensive presentations from library experts. Madam Nor Hafizah Md Hanafiah, Deputy Chief Librarian of the Digital Library Division, explained the crucial role of UiTM IR and the proper procedures for intellectual property submission through the PERMATA ecosystem. Following this, Senior Librarian Madam Zuhaslinda Sulaiman shared a detailed guide on recording and verifying academic publications within the PRIMe system.
To conclude the instructional sessions, Senior Librarian Madam Nik Zatihulwani Jamaludin provided essential insights on managing researcher profiles across major databases—including Scopus, Web of Science, and Google Scholar—along with techniques for monitoring the h-index.
It is highly hoped that this targeted program will actively encourage the submission of university intellectual property to the library while significantly strengthening publication management and the overall research impact of the UiTM academic community.
