PTAR Puncak Alam Delivers High-Impact Information Literacy Session for KISAS Form Six Students

PUNCAK ALAM, February 11, 2026 – Tun Abdul Razak Library (PTAR) at the Puncak Alam Campus recently honored an exclusive invitation from the Academy of Contemporary Islamic Studies, Universiti Teknologi MARA Shah Alam, to conduct a specialized Information Literacy program for Form Six students from Sultan Alam Shah Islamic College (KISAS).

A total of 13 selected pre-university students participated in this high-value session, which was spearheaded and delivered with exceptional dedication and professionalism by PTAR Librarian Amir Muhamad Shafie.

The program focused heavily on Perkasa Knowledge Access Skills, packing the session with vital scientific content, strategic research methods, and high-impact guidance. Throughout the training, students received extensive exposure to advanced search skills, information evaluation, and the ethical use of academic resources. Participants were also taught practical and effective approaches to managing their information ecosystems to better support their current learning and future research requirements.

PTAR hopes that the knowledge shared during this session will be optimally utilized by the students, acting as a catalyst for their academic excellence and deeply instilling a permanent culture of information literacy as they transition into higher education.
