ALOR GAJAH, 11 June 2026 – The second and final day of the History Walk Exhibition and Find & Win Quiz, held in conjunction with the 2026 International Archives Day Celebration at UiTM Cawangan Melaka, concluded successfully on 11 June 2026.
A total of 67 visitors and participants, comprising students, staff of UiTM Cawangan Melaka, and external visitors, attended the programme to explore the university’s history and participate in the quiz activities provided. Over the two-day programme, held from 10 to 11 June 2026, the event successfully attracted 132 visitors and participants, demonstrating the strong interest and support of the university community and the public towards the preservation of institutional history and heritage.
Through the exhibition, visitors had the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the history of UiTM, beginning with the establishment of the Dewan Letahan RIDA, the development of ITM/UiTM Cawangan Melaka, the leadership of the campus, the collection of convocation books and albums, essential university records, the Archive Collection publications, and the innovative PR Smart Table project developed by the Unit Arkib Cawangan Melaka.
The Find & Win Quiz also received an overwhelmingly positive response, with participants eagerly taking the opportunity to test their knowledge based on the information displayed in the exhibition while standing a chance to win attractive prizes.
The Melaka Branch Archives Unit would like to express its highest appreciation and sincere gratitude to all students, staff, external visitors, and everyone who contributed directly or indirectly to the success of this programme.
It is hoped that programmes such as this will continue to raise awareness of the importance of archives and records as sources of evidence, institutional memory, and heritage that must be preserved for future generations.
