SUNGAI PETANI, 10 August 2026 – Perpustakaan Sultan Badlishah (PSB), Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Kedah Branch, organized a File and Records Management Workshop online via the Google Meet platform on Monday, 10 August 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The programme received an encouraging response from members of Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM).
- PSB organized a workshop to enhance staff knowledge of effective file and records management practices.
- The workshop covered file classification, records storage, disposal, and digital records management.
- Participants gained knowledge of records management, digital documents, information security, and records preservation.
The workshop was conducted by Puan Azura binti Mohamad Hashim, Head of the Records Management Unit, University Archives Division, Tun Abdul Razak Library (PTAR), UiTM Shah Alam. She shared valuable knowledge on the fundamental principles of file and records management, file classification methods, systematic records storage, as well as procedures for records disposal in accordance with university regulations and guidelines.
Throughout the workshop, participants were also exposed to the challenges of records management in a digital environment, including the management of electronic documents through the Digital Document Management System (DDMS 2.0), information security, and online records storage.
The organization of this workshop is in line with UiTM’s efforts to strengthen a culture of effective records management. It is hoped that the knowledge and skills gained will be applied to enhance administrative efficiency and ensure that university records are properly preserved and maintained.
