Kota Kinabalu, March 7, 2025 — The first series of the Ramadan Talk in conjunction with the Ihya Ramadan Program took place with deep spiritual reflection through a Daurah Ramadan (intensive Islamic course) session delivered by Ustaz Muhamad Azhar Bin Zubir. The program was held on Friday morning at the LCE PTAR, UiTM Sabah Branch, starting at 8:30 AM.
- UiTM Sabah held its first intensive Ramadan course (Daurah Ramadan) at the LCE PTAR on March 7, 2025.
- Ustaz Muhamad Azhar Bin Zubir led the lecture, focusing on spiritual nurturing, the jurisprudence of fasting, and boosting worship.
- The session was jointly organized by UHEI and PTAR to enhance religious understanding across the campus community.
In his lecture, Ustaz Muhamad Azhar emphasized the importance of understanding the true meaning of Ramadan as a month of tarbiah (spiritual nurturing) that educates the soul, purifies the heart, and brings one closer to Allah SWT. He also touched upon the jurisprudence (fiqh) of fasting, the etiquettes of fasting, as well as the virtues of increasing acts of worship throughout this holy month.
The participants, consisting of staff and students, attended with keen interest, making this session not only a space to gain knowledge but also a motivational driver to experience a more meaningful Ramadan.
The program, organized by the Islamic Affairs Unit (UHEI) in collaboration with the Tun Abdul Razak Library (PTAR), is part of an ongoing effort to foster spiritual values and religious understanding among the campus community. The subsequent series are expected to continue throughout Ramadan with relevant and beneficial topics.
