Disability Services

UiTM Library is committed to providing an inclusive and welcoming environment that supports equitable access to information for users with disabilities. As part of this commitment, the Library offers dedicated Disability Services, including a specially designed Disabilities Room located within the physical library.

The Disabilities Room is equipped with an e-View Terminal, which consists of a computer workstation fitted with assistive technologies to support diverse user needs. These include a special keyboard, magnifying tools, an adjustable table, and an adjustable monitor, all designed to enhance comfort, accessibility, and independent information use.

In addition, the room houses 12 Braille collections, providing essential reading materials for users who rely on tactile formats and ensuring continued access to knowledge through traditional and trusted resources.

To ensure continuous support, the service is assisted by an OKU Member (staff) who is available to provide guidance and assistance throughout the user’s time in the Disabilities Room. This personal support reflects the Library’s longstanding tradition of attentive and respectful service.

UiTM Library warmly welcomes users with disabilities and remains dedicated to creating a supportive, accessible, and respectful library environment where every member of the University community can learn, explore, and succeed.
