UiTM Sabah Launches Ramadan Edition of Wacana Ar-Raudhah; Features Discussion on the True Meaning of Fasting
KOTA KINABALU – The Islamic Affairs Unit of Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Sabah Branch has officially released the first episode of its Wacana Ar-Raudhah Ramadan Mubarak Edition. The premier episode, titled “Fasting is More Than Just Hunger,” is now available for public viewing online.
- UiTM Sabah released its first Ramadan episode of Wacana Ar-Raudhah on YouTube on February 24, 2026.
- Led by Ustaz Rani bin Abdul Rahman, the spiritual session focused on the true meaning of fasting.
- The university also launched a waqf donation drive to build the new Borneo Islamic Sustainability and Development
The recorded broadcast features a deep spiritual discourse led by prominent guest speaker Ustaz Rani bin Abdul Rahman, a Dakwah Officer from the Sabah State Islamic Religious Affairs Department. Hosting the session is Ms. Siti Norbayah binti Abdul Hassan, the Deputy Chairperson 1 of Rakan Siswa YADIM at UiTM Sabah.
The production of this series is a collaborative effort between the Islamic Affairs Unit, the Tun Abdul Razak Library (PTAR), Resident Studio Production, and Rakan Siswa YADIM.

University management has confirmed that official training hours will be credited and recorded for all staff members who tune in to the session.
In conjunction with the special Ramadan program, the university has also launched a public donation drive. The community is invited to contribute infaq (charity) and waqf endowments toward the construction of the university's new Islamic landmark, the Borneo Islamic Sustainability and Development Center (PPKIB).
