Puncak Alam, 3 July 2025 – The Perpustakaan Tun Abdul Razak (PTAR), UiTM Cawangan Selangor (UCS) successfully organised the Book Review Programme with Administrators @ Iqra' Corner UCS Series 2, featuring the timely and impactful topic of Artificial Intelligence (AI).
- PTAR UCS hosted a book review session on Artificial Intelligence.
- The programme promoted reading culture and lifelong learning.
- Participants gained insights from an IT expert through a live discussion.
Held from 10.00 a.m. to 11.00 a.m., the programme was streamed live via PTAR UiTM Selangor’s YouTube and Facebook platforms, enabling wider participation from the university community.
The session featured Encik Zamani Umar Husin, Senior Deputy Chief Information Technology Officer, UiTM Selangor, as the guest panelist. The programme was moderated by Ahmad Syakirin Salihin, a representative of the Student Representative Council (MPP) from the Faculty of Art and Design, UiTM Selangor.
The programme forms part of the strategic initiatives outlined in the PTAR UCS Roadmap 2025, supporting the university’s Knowledge Society agenda and reading campaign, which encourages every staff member and student to read 24 books annually while promoting the use of library resources.
Among the key objectives of the programme were to:
- Promote a strong reading culture among UiTM Selangor staff and students.
- Encourage lifelong learning and knowledge sharing within the university community.
- Leverage professional expertise and experience to enhance staff development.
- Foster a more intellectual, innovative, and highly motivated working environment.
The programme also contributes to the university’s Performance Indicators (PI) by supporting the development of a dynamic, inclusive, and knowledge-driven academic ecosystem.
To encourage participation, e-merit points were awarded to students, while training hours were credited to staff members who attended the session.
PTAR UCS remains committed to organising future book review series as a high-impact initiative to cultivate reading habits, intellectual engagement, and continuous learning among the university community.
