SHAH ALAM, July 21, 2026 – The Tun Abdul Razak Library (PTAR) Built Environment branch recently received a generous donation of 200 books focusing on Landscape Architecture, Park Management, and Environmental Studies.
- PTAR Built Environment received a generous donation of 200 academic books from former ITM/UiTM lecturer Madam Kamariyah binti Kamsah.
- The donated collection focuses on Landscape Architecture, Park Management, and Environmental Studies to enrich academic references.
- The books are currently undergoing technical processing by the University Reference Resources Division before becoming fully accessible to campus users.
The notable contribution was made by Madam Kamariyah binti Kamsah, a former lecturer at the Faculty of Planning and Surveying, Institut Teknologi MARA (now known as the Faculty of Built Environment, UiTM), who dedicated her service to the institution from 1981 to 2001.
The official handover of the collection was received by Madam Hanani binti Rojikin, Senior Librarian, and Madam Nor Azini binti Azman, Senior Library Assistant of PTAR Built Environment. This noble contribution significantly enriches the library’s academic reference collection, directly benefiting students and researchers within the built environment discipline.
PTAR Built Environment expresses its deepest gratitude to Madam Kamariyah for this highly meaningful contribution. This initiative not only strengthens the library's physical repository but also beautifully reflects a retired academic's enduring love, care, and commitment to lifelong knowledge sharing with the institution she once served.
All donated books have been handed over to the University Reference Resources Division for standard technical processing and distribution. Once cataloged, they will be made fully accessible for reference by the UiTM community.
