you acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined in this document. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use the App.
1. Privacy, Data Collection, and Local Storage
- No Registration Required: eView Reader is designed for immediate accessibility. You are not required to create an account,
register, log in, or provide any personal information (such as your name, email address, or phone number) to use the App. - Zero Data Collection: We respect your privacy. The developers do not track, harvest, collect, or transmit any personal data,
usage analytics, or visual information to any external servers, cloud databases, or third-party services. - 100% Local Processing: All visual data, including the live camera feed used for text magnification and color inversion,
is processed entirely on your device in real-time. - Local Image Storage: Any screenshots or images captured using the App's save feature are stored strictly on your
smartphone's internal storage. You, as the device owner, retain absolute control and ownership over this data.
We have no access to your saved images, files, or your device's photo gallery.
2. Not a Medical Device
- Informational and Assistive Use Only: eView Reader is developed solely as a digital assistive tool
to aid individuals with limited vision in reading text via magnification and high-contrast color inversion. - No Medical Advice: The App is completely independent of clinical diagnosis and is not a recognized medical device.
It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any ocular diseases or conditions such as retinitis pigmentosa,
glaucoma, or central vision loss. - Consult Professionals: Users should always consult with qualified ophthalmologists or healthcare providers regarding
their vision health and primary medical requirements.
3. Accuracy and Hardware Limitations
- "As-Is" Provision: The App is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis.
We do not warrant that the application will be uninterrupted, error-free, or perfectly accurate at all times. - Hardware Dependency: The quality of text magnification, color inversion, and screen capture relies heavily on
your smartphone's camera resolution, processing power, screen quality, and environmental lighting. - Critical Information Warning: Users are strongly advised to exercise caution when using the App to read critical or
sensitive information, such as medical prescriptions, financial documents, or dosage instructions,
as hardware limitations or user error could result in misinterpretation.
4. User Safety and Situational Awareness
- Risk of Distraction: eView Reader requires the user to focus on a smartphone screen, which limits peripheral vision and
awareness of physical surroundings. - No Usage in Motion: Do not use the App while walking, driving, operating machinery, or performing any task that requires your full,
undivided visual attention and spatial awareness. - Physical Safety: The developers of eView Reader hold no responsibility for any slips, falls, accidents,
or injuries sustained while operating the App.
5. Limitation of Liability
- No Liability for Damages: To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developers, partners,
and affiliates of eView Reader shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential,
or special damages arising out of or in any way connected with the use or inability to use the App. - Data Responsibility: While the App allows users to save screenshots for later reference,
the developers are not responsible for the loss, corruption, or accidental deletion of these saved images
from your device.
