Introduction

The ITM Kedah Branch Library began to operate fully in 1998 on the lower level of the Academic Block temporarily because the library's permanent building was under construction. The library operates under the management of a librarian, 2 library assistants, a clerk, a library server, and an operations assistant.

The service and operation of the library are manual, and among the services provided are the loan and return of books, magazines, and newspaper references. The facilities of the library were minimal, the provision of reading and reference materials was for 4 faculties at that time, namely the Faculty of Business Management, the Faculty of Administration and Law, the Faculty of Accountancy, and the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. In 2000, UiTM Kedah Library received 2 more librarians in preparation for operational planning in the new building.
