PTAR IN NEWSPAPER

History Of UiTM Library Perak Branch

The UiTM Perak Branch Library services were initiated in January 1985, concurrently with the establishment of the ITM Perak Branch in Seri Manjung. This section was provisionally located on the ground floor of the Faculty of Architecture, Planning, and Surveying (FSPU) building when it relocated to the permanent campus in Seri Iskandar in January 1997.

The Library Division was officially renamed Perpustakaan Tun Abdul Razak (PTAR) in April 2003 to correspond with the main library at UiTM Shah Alam. Simultaneously, it is housed in a new three-story structure that is adjacent to the ILQAM Unit. Following renovations in May 2013, the entire building was transferred to PTAR, with a capacity of 700 users at a time.

On January 24, 2011, PTAR expanded its services to the UiTM Tapah Campus in addition to the primary campus in Seri Iskandar. During that period, it was provisionally referred to as the "Resource Centre" and was situated next to the campus auditorium.

Starting on April 18, 2014, the Resource Centre transitioned from the Phase 1 building to Phase 2. It commenced operations in its permanent facility on May 20, 2014, under the name Perpustakaan Tun Abdul Razak Kampus Tapah. The building is located between the Administration office and the lecturers' building and has the capacity to accommodate up to 640 users simultaneously.
