Shah Alam, 23 April 2025 – In celebration of World Book and Copyright Day, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) joined the nationwide movement through the Let’s Read Together for 10 Minutes program, held simultaneously across Malaysia from 11:00 AM to 11:10 AM.
Organized by the Tun Abdul Razak Library (PTAR), this initiative encouraged all members of the UiTM community — students, academic staff, and administrative personnel — to take just 10 minutes to read, whether from a physical book or a digital collection available through the university’s library portal.
Carrying the theme “The Cultivation of Knowledge Shapes Adiwangsa”, the program aims to instill reading as a lifestyle and nurture a visionary, well-informed campus community. Recognized by UNESCO, this program aligns with global efforts to promote literacy and protect intellectual property rights.
“Enjoy the Moment is the message we hope to share with participants — that even 10 minutes of reading, if done regularly, can make a meaningful impact,” said a PTAR representative.
UiTM’s participation in this nationwide campaign reflects its commitment to fostering intellectual growth and supporting national efforts in building a knowledge-based society.
