Perpustakaan Tun Abdul Razak received ISO 9001:2000 certification from Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance (LRQA) on March 9, 2006, with the registration scope of "Provision of Library Services for UiTM."
This first ISO certification initiative was inspired by Allahyarham Hajah Paiza Binti Idris, who was appointed as UiTM's Fourth Chief Librarian in 2003.
Implementing the Quality Management System (QMS) was planned and systematically executed, starting with forming an active Quality Committee in line with PTAR's goal of ISO 9001:2000 certification and UiTM's vision to become a world-class university by 2006.
