Shah Alam, 9–10 February 2026 – The Book Cover Upload Project in the PERMATA System was successfully conducted over two days at the PTAR 1 IT Centre, Tun Abdul Razak Library (PTAR).
The programme was a collaborative initiative involving PTAR Volunteers and students from the Faculty of Information Science, UiTM Rembau Campus, Negeri Sembilan.
- PTAR volunteers and UiTM Rembau students uploaded 517 book covers into the PERMATA System.
- The initiative enhanced the library’s digital database and user experience.
- The project provided practical exposure in digital information management and library systems.
The project involved Semester 3 students from the Diploma in Information Management programme, namely:
- Muhammad Sazaril bin Shahrul Hidayat
- Muhammad Syukri bin Alfian
- Mohamad Asyraf bin Mohd Razali
- Anis Natasha binti Sharuddin
- Muhammad Irfan bin Zakariah
- Tariq Harziq bin Abdul Rahman
Throughout the programme, the students demonstrated a high level of commitment and professionalism in supporting the enhancement of PTAR’s digital library services.
Over the course of the two-day programme, the volunteers worked collaboratively to ensure the systematic and accurate uploading of book cover images into the PERMATA System. A total of 517 book covers were successfully uploaded, significantly enhancing the visual presentation of the library’s collections to be more user-friendly, attractive, and efficient for material discovery by the university community.
This initiative not only improved the quality and usability of PTAR’s digital database, but also provided valuable hands-on exposure for students in digital information management and real-world library system operations.
