UPM x UiTM | Speed Reading, Smarter Thinking!

20 January 2026 | 1 Sya’aban 1447H

As part of the UPM Reading Festival 2026, the Sultan Abdul Samad Library at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) invited instructors and facilitators from the Tun Abdul Razak Library (PTAR), Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), to conduct a “Speed Reading” workshop.

The highly energetic and inspiring session was held on 20 January 2026 at Malawati Room 1, Sultan Abdul Samad Library.

Over a focused two-hour session (2:30 – 4:30 PM), 40 participants—including UPM staff, students, and teachers from SMK Agama Putrajaya—learned techniques to read faster, comprehend more deeply, and think more strategically. Each page was not only read but understood and internalized.

The workshop was led by Puan Siti Salwa A. Rahman as the main instructor, supported by facilitator Cik Ummi Halimatunssaadiyya Shamsul Yuzli. Interactive sessions, hands-on exercises, and practical techniques made the workshop engaging, enjoyable, and full of “aha moments” for participants.

This collaboration between UPM and UiTM went beyond knowledge sharing; it aimed to empower a culture of smart reading and lifelong learning. The event reflects the spirit of the UPM Reading Festival 2026—building a community of skilled, critical readers ready to face future knowledge challenges.

When reading becomes faster, learning becomes broader.
