Selayang, 12 June 2026 – Perpustakaan Tun Abdul Razak (PTAR), UiTM Selayang Campus successfully organised the Jelajah Ilmu programme at the Faculty of Medicine Lobby, UiTM Selayang Campus on 12 June 2026. The programme was held from 9.00 a.m. to 12.15 p.m. and aimed to bring library services closer to students, academic staff, and the campus community.
- Promoted PTAR services and library resources to the UiTM Selayang Campus community.
- Encouraged reading and participation in library initiatives.
- Strengthened engagement between PTAR and its users.
The outreach programme provided participants with the opportunity to learn more about PTAR services and resources through various informative and interactive activities. Among the highlights were the introduction to the PERMATA Library System, book borrowing and return services, registration for the My Reading programme, and recruitment of PTAR volunteers.
To further encourage engagement, PTAR organised a “Blind Date with a Book” activity, which introduced participants to selected reading materials in a fun and unique way. In conjunction with World Blood Donor Day, a mini exhibition was also held to raise awareness about the importance of blood donation and community well-being.
The programme received positive participation from the campus community and successfully enhanced awareness of library services and reading initiatives. Early participants were rewarded with souvenirs as a token of appreciation for their support and involvement.
Through initiatives such as Jelajah Ilmu, PTAR continues to strengthen its role in supporting learning, research, and knowledge-sharing while fostering closer engagement with its users at UiTM Selayang Campus.
