SUNGAI PETANI, 12–13 May 2026 – The Sultan Badlishah Library (PSB), UiTM Kedah Branch, organized the Knowledge Exploration Program / Series 4 involving UiTM students and staff at the Mahsuri Food Court and the Sultan Badlishah Library, UiTM Kedah Branch.
The program was an initiative by the library to promote a culture of knowledge by delivering library services directly to users, with a focus on strengthening information literacy, digital resources, and university research support.

The program, which was held from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., was designed as a comprehensive platform for knowledge dissemination and awareness regarding library services. It aimed to increase awareness among the UiTM Kedah Branch community about the importance of the library as a strategic partner in learning and research. Through activities focused on academic support, digital resources, and technology-based services, the program aligned with UiTM’s aspiration to cultivate effective, innovative, and high-impact knowledge utilization.
Knowledge-sharing sessions through briefings on library services, the university archives booth, and exhibitions of related reference materials were among the main highlights that successfully attracted the attention of students and staff. The program was further enlivened with interactive quiz challenges that tested participants’ knowledge of the services provided by the library, while also offering attractive prizes to the winners.
In addition, a briefing session on PUiTM volunteer registration was conducted to provide exposure to the university community regarding the roles and involvement of volunteers in library activities and university community programs.
The positive response received provided participants with the opportunity to obtain direct guidance on various library services, including access to archival search systems through the Online Finding Archive (OFA), procedures for using university reference resources via the PERMATA system, management of MyReading collections in PERMATA – MyAccount, information searching methods, research consultation services, and the use of the EKKM system for booking information literacy classes. Furthermore, the briefing session regarding PUiTM volunteer registration also received encouraging attention and participation from attendees.
The successful implementation of the Knowledge Exploration Program demonstrated the continuous commitment of the Sultan Badlishah Library, UiTM Kedah Branch, in strengthening the culture of knowledge and expanding the delivery of library services to the university community in a more proactive, user-friendly, and high-impact manner.
