The official opening of the PTAR Reading Corner at UiTM Sarawak Branch, Samarahan Campus was successfully held on 16 December 2025, marking another strategic initiative in strengthening the reading culture and supporting lifelong learning among the university community.

The ceremony was officiated by the Pro-Chancellor of UiTM, Yang Berbahagia Dato’ Abdul Wahab Aziz, together with the Chairman of the UiTM Board of Directors, Yang Berbahagia Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Haji Mohd Khamil bin Jamil; the Vice-Chancellor of UiTM, Yang Berbahagia Professor Datuk Ts. Dr. Shahrin Sahib @ Sahibuddin, FASc.; and the Rector of UiTM Sarawak Branch, Yang Berusaha Professor Dr. Firdaus Abdullah.
The event was also witnessed by the Deputy Chief Librarian of PTAR UiTM Sarawak Branch, Puan Nur Afeqah Abdullah, along with invited guests.
The establishment of the Reading Corner reflects the continued commitment of UiTM and PTAR to providing a conducive space that supports knowledge cultivation, reading habits, and the intellectual well-being of the campus community.
