Library Leadership Series 5 Explores the Power of Knowledge Narratives

Shah Alam, 3 February 2026 (15 Syaaban 1447H) – The Seminar Room, Level 2, Perpustakaan Tun Abdul Razak (PTAR), became a vibrant platform for intellectual discourse and leadership reflection with the successful organisation of Library Leadership Programme Series 5.

Held under the theme “Future Narratives: The Power of Storytelling in the Knowledge and Information Ecosystem,” the programme featured an insightful presentation by YBhg. Associate Professor Dr. Suhaimee bin Saahar@Saabar, Director of the Centre for Neuro-Warfare, Media and Information Studies, UiTM.

The session offered participants fresh perspectives on the strategic role of narratives, storytelling, and information communication in shaping future leadership. It highlighted how stories, data, and information function not merely as tools for knowledge dissemination, but as powerful mechanisms for meaning-making, influencing thought processes, and guiding organisational direction within an increasingly complex digital ecosystem.

In this context, libraries were repositioned beyond their traditional role as repositories of information, emerging instead as curators of knowledge narratives, drivers of intellectual influence, and agents of change with meaningful impact on organisations and society.

The programme was also livestreamed via the UiTM Library YouTube channel, enabling broader and more inclusive participation among the UiTM community and the general public.

The organisation of Library Leadership Programme Series 5 reflects the continuous commitment of the UiTM Library Department to strengthening librarian leadership, enhancing strategic thinking, and cultivating a robust knowledge culture, in alignment with UiTM 2030: Shaping Global-Ready Graduates (Membentuk Adiwangsa).

Knowledge is told. Meaning is shaped. Leadership is empowered.
