Preparatory works are currently in progress at the Dewan Agung Tuanku Canselor (DATC) in anticipation of the Vice-Chancellor’s Amanat 2026, with the University set to present a special historical exhibition titled “The Evolution from DLR to UiTM”.
The exhibition is organised by the University Archives Division, UiTM Library Department, and documents the institutional evolution of Universiti Teknologi MARA from its early establishment as Dewan Latihan RIDA (DLR) to its present standing as a leading national university. The exhibition reflects UiTM’s developmental milestones, institutional identity, and sustained commitment to academic excellence and nation-building.
As part of the ongoing preparations, archival materials including historical photographs, official records, and curated visual narratives are being systematically arranged to ensure a structured and informative exhibition experience. These collections serve to preserve the university’s historical legacy while providing contextual insights into its growth and transformation over the decades.
Scheduled to be held today, 28 January 2026, from 8.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. at DATC, the exhibition is organised in conjunction with the Vice-Chancellor’s Amanat 2026, which outlines the University’s leadership mandate and strategic direction. The exhibition provides the UiTM community an opportunity to reflect on the institution’s heritage and reaffirm its ongoing pursuit of excellence.
