The Chief Librarian of Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Ts. Haji Azizi bin Haji Jantan, paid a courtesy visit to the Tun Seri Setia Dr. Haji Mohd Ali Mohd Rustam, the Governor of Melaka, on 7 January 2026 at Seri Negeri Melaka.

The visit was aimed at strengthening strategic cooperation and enhancing the development and management of libraries and resource centres as key drivers of a knowledge-based culture, heritage preservation, and knowledge transformation at both state and educational institution levels.
During the meeting, the UiTM Library expressed its readiness to contribute expertise in the digitisation of intellectual and cultural heritage collections. Discussions also explored potential strategic collaboration with Dunia Melayu Dunia Islam (DMDI) to expand access to intellectual content, strengthen preservation efforts, and broaden knowledge networks at national and international levels.
Also present at the meeting were the Rector of UiTM Cawangan Melaka, Professor Datuk Ts. Dr. Haji Mohd Rasdi bin Haji Zaini, and the Chief Librarian of UiTM Cawangan Melaka, Mr. Norhazlan Nordin.
This courtesy visit reflects UiTM’s continued commitment to supporting literacy initiatives, empowering knowledge development, and strengthening an inclusive, competitive, and sustainable library ecosystem.
