We did it! For the first time ever, libraries in Pahang came together to represent the state in the global City Nature Challenge (CNC) 2025, and the impact was truly inspiring.
From 25 April to 4 May 2025, communities in Jerantut, Maran & Raub explored their surroundings, snapped photos of local flora and fauna, and submitted observations using the iNaturalist app — contributing real data to global biodiversity science. Special shout-out to our launching ceremony in Jerantut (26 April), officiated by TPr. Mohd Khasri bin Abdullah, Setiausaha Majlis Daerah Jerantut.
Simultaneous field activities in Maran and Raub (25 April) brought together enthusiastic students, nature lovers, and first-time citizen scientists. 🎉 Congratulations to our District Winners!
🏅 Most Observations & Most Species 🏆 Muhammad Hazran bin Nozeri (Maran) |
