Library Facilites

1. IT Center

The IT Center is equipped with 100 computers that offer a wide variety of software programs. All PCs are connected to the university network and can be access by the library users.Open seven days in a week while classes are in session according to Library opening hours.

2. Meeting room 2

Members in need of private discussions may reserve meeting room and use on two-hourly basis. Meeting room located at the 2nd floor and reservations may be made at the circulation service counter at the 2nd floor. It’s only for library’s registered members.

3. Carrels

The Library provides carrels for postgraduate students, academic staff and researchers who need a privacy and it is located at silent zone 3rd floor.

4. Photocopying

Photocopying services operated by commercial vendors are provided in the Library. There are staff-operated and self-service photocopying services. 

5. OPAC

Library OPAC allows you to:

  1. Search for all types of items in the library collections
  2. View/renew items checked out by you, status of your account, cancelled your holds by using my Account.

6. Wi-Fi access

Library provide access to ‘internet without wire” or Wi-Fi to users who use laptop or tools which able to access the Wi-Fi signal.

7. Open Reading areas

Reading facilities are available on 3rd and 4th floor of the Library. The library provides spacious and conducive environment for reading.It can accommodate up to 1,400 users. Electric socket and network point is provided at certain area.Users are advised to leave library books on trolleys after usage. Please do not attempt to shelve these books. Shelving items in the wrong places will result in serious retrieval problems.

8. Book drop

Borrowed items may be returned in person during library hours, or drop them in the outside book drop located in front of the library main entrance.You can drop your books and it is collected three times a day.

9. Learning Commons

This unit has 33 PCs and is located at 4th floor of the Library.

10. Self-Check Machine

This service is a great way to allows you to checkout and renew books (provided the book is not on hold for another patron) at the same time. The self-check machine has a large monitor that easily and quickly takes you through the checkout process and users must keep the receipt for further reference.

11. Research Writing Room

Users especially for post graduates and researchers can use this facility to do their research works.  These rooms are located at 4th floor.  Users who require privacy and comfort may use the room for 4 hours per day every day.  Please register at the Circulation Counter, PTAR in order to use the facility.

12. Special Collection Room

Room with reference materials such as Malay and Bumiputera Collections, Limited Access Collection, Intellectual Collection, Personal Collection and Haram Collection.

13. e-Resources Zone

Is a one stop centre for e-Resources@PTAR. It consist of e-Books, UiTM Institutional Repository, UiTM Digital Collection, e-Question Papers (EQPS), e-Newspaper, e-KKM (Library User Guides).

14. 24 Hours Reading Room

These rooms are located at Ground Floor (outside of the library). This room can accommodate up to 100 and 150 users respectively. It is equipped with electric sockets and wireless internet access. It is available for user who wish to study during or after the opening hours.

15. Seminar Room

Seminar room is located at Level 1, which is equipped with a LCD projector and white screen. The room can accommodate up to 60 users. Reservation can be made at the Administration Division, Level 1.

16. Mobile Apps

PTAR's mobile application, known as UiTM Library which a collaborative inhouse development between PTAR and UiTM Digital Campus (DC) Developers team is currently deployed for iOS phone users.
